Digbeth- Storyboard

The picture below shows our first idea of an old man fishing by the canal. We were suppose to base our animation on the old man. 

On our visit and research on Digbeth, we saw a local man who is by the canal everyday same place fishing. He has been living in Digbeth for many years and we thought it would be a great idea for us to get his views of the place.

Unfortunately, we went there few times to interview him but we did not get him. We did not know specific time he comes or if he came those days.

Time was not in our favour and we decided to change our storyline to similar to the first, but instead of interviewing one person, we would ask other locals and people who work there. 

 We really liked the idea of the pop up book and we started to look into how we could go about with the story. I did some drawings of the storyline how it might go.
